AUC Children Nutrition Course

This course is designed to teach young learners the basic skills of nutrition. They will learn about the food groups, nutrition label reading, how to manage their lives in a way that allows them to make healthy choices, how to judge healthy from unhealthy food, how to cook snacks that are healthy and delicious, making their own lunchbox, how to make the right choices while still enjoying food and finally to have a healthy body image.

Duration and Location

  • One week: June 29 - July 3, 2025
  • Sessions will  run daily from 9 am to 3 pm
  • AUC New Cairo campus
  • Fridays and Saturdays off
  • AUC holidays will be compensated for with extra hours


Fees

  • EGP 4,000 (price including materials needed)
  • The following discounts are offered: 
    • 10% discount offered for siblings 
    • 10% discount offered for AUC faculty and staff
    • 15% discount offered for AUC alumni

Who can apply?

Students age 10 - 14 years.

Certification

All the bootcamp participants will receive a certificate of participation from AUC.

Transportation 

The AUC Bus Service is available for extra fees. Details on the schedule will be shared before the program's start date.

Accommodation 

Accommodation is offered at the University Residences in case needed. 

About the Instructor

Mireille Medhat ’09, ’17

Mireille Medhat is a certified child nutrition specialist and wellness coach. She is very passionate about passing on her knowledge to the younger generation and empowering them with skills and habits that can help them lead healthier lives.

AUC’s Refund Policy

A 100% refund of the program fees will be offered in the following cases. If reported at least three weeks before the program's start date.

  • Course cancellation 
  • Medical withdrawal
  • Visa denial
