AUC’s Center of Excellence for Water Offers Scholarships for Public University Engineering Students

The Center of Excellence for Water at AUC is offering scholarships for public university engineering students to study water engineering at Ain Shams and Alexandria universities. The scholarships provide a full four-year university study opportunity for undergraduate students to study civil engineering with a focus on water in one of the study tracks in the credit hour programs for water engineering at Alexandria and Ain Shams universities.

AUC Welcomes Students for 2020 Fall Semester, Begins Hybrid Classes

AUC started its first day of classes last Thursday, implementing a hybrid model of classes with an emphasis on maintaining a low-density campus. This move comes as one of several precautionary measures that the University is taking in an effort to help limit the spread of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19).

In Partnership with USAID, AUC Provides Scholarships to Egyptian Public School Students, Manages Scholarships Program in Six Egyptian Universities

In partnership with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), The American University in Cairo (AUC) is offering scholarships to Egyptian public school students through the USAID Scholars Activity program.

AUC, USAID Launch First Virtual Career Fair for Egyptian Universities

AUC and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) launched the first Virtual Career Fair for Egyptian Universities (UCCD 2020) on September 28. The event was attended by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, AUC President Francis Ricciardone, AUC Counselor Ashraf Hatem, USAID Egypt Mission Director Leslie Reed, and presidents of ten Egyptian public universities.

New Business Majors, MBA Restructured

With the start of Fall 2020, AUC has introduced three new undergraduate business programs to its portfolio: Bachelor of Business and Entrepreneurship, Bachelor of Business in finance, and Bachelor of Business in marketing. This is in addition to its existing Bachelor of Business Administration in management of information and communication technology.

AUC Establishes New Anti-Harassment, Non-Discrimination Office of Institutional Equity

With the aim of combating sexual harassment and safeguarding its community, AUC established the Office of Institutional Equity (OIE) on August 1 to handle sexual harassment and discrimination complaints from students, faculty and staff. The office reinforces and underpins AUC’s Anti-Harassment and Non-Discrimination Policy, abiding by Egyptian laws, and strengthening AUC’s reporting channels.
