AUC Centennial

In 1919, a small group of visionaries founded The American University in Cairo (AUC). In 2019, 100 years later, we look back to celebrate a century of leadership as Egypt’s global University. We marked this milestone with a yearlong celebration intended to foster connections among the AUC community, capitalize on AUC’s strength and distinctive reputation both locally and globally, and support historic fundraising efforts that positioned AUC for continued success in its second century.

100 Years of Fashion Evolution

For the first time in AUC’s history, alumni, faculty and students came together to bring you ‘100 Years of Fashion Evolution as part of our Centennial Celebration Week. Thinking outside the fashion box, looking back on a century of design and envisioning an avant-garde future, the runway included cutting-edge designs from the past century’s fashion eras as well as a jaw-dropping collection inspired by futuristic aesthetics, innovative and forward-looking staples.
