Liberal Arts Education

Thrive Inside and Out is a fun, interactive workshop for kids ages 8–12 focused on building essential social-emotional skills. Participants will learn how to manage anxiety and anger, build confidence, practice gratitude and mindfulness, strengthen friendships, and develop responsibility and a growth mindset. Through engaging activities, games, and discussions, kids gain tools to navigate emotions, boost resilience, and foster positive relationships—all in a safe, supportive environment.

Over the course of the workshop, children will explore seven core areas of social-emotional development: Coping Skills for Anxiety – Learn practical techniques like deep breathing, visualization, and positive self-talk to manage anxious thoughts and feelings.

Anger Management – Understand what triggers anger and discover healthy ways to express and control big emotions.

Confidence – Build self-esteem and develop a strong sense of identity through goal setting, positive affirmations, and strengths-based activities.

Gratitude – Cultivate a positive mindset by recognizing the good in everyday life and learning how gratitude boosts happiness and connection.

Mindfulness – Practice being present through simple mindfulness exercises that improve focus, calm, and emotional regulation.

Social Skills and Friendship Building – Strengthen communication, empathy, and conflict resolution skills to foster lasting and respectful friendships.

Responsibility and Growth Mindset – Encourage accountability and a love of learning by shifting from “I can’t” to “I can’t yet.”

Duration and Location

  • One week: June 29 - July 3 , 2025
  • Sessions will  run daily from 9 am to 2 pm
  • AUC New Cairo campus
  • Fridays and Saturdays off
  • AUC holidays will be compensated for with extra hours


Fees

  • EGP 4,000 (price including materials needed)
  • The following discounts are offered: 
    • 10% discount offered for siblings 
    • 10% discount offered for AUC faculty and staff
    • 15% discount offered for AUC alumni

Students 8 -12 years.

Certification

All the bootcamp participants will receive a certificate of participation from AUC.

Transportation 

The AUC Bus Service is available for extra fees. Details on the schedule will be shared before the program's start date.

Rana Ghazaly is a licensed professional mental health counselor in the United States.

AUC Refund Policy

The following cases will offer a 100% refund of the program fees. If reported at least three weeks before the program's start date.
