AUC-Funded Scholarships
AUC Scholarship for Refugees
This scholarship offers full support to refugee students who wish to study at AUC.
Applicants must meet the below criteria:
- AUC admission requirements
- Proof of refugee status (Blue card for refugees and a yellow card for asylum seekers)
- Demonstrate financial need
- Be expected to graduate and hold a high school certificate in the academic year 2023 - 2024 or hold a high school certificate no earlier than 2020 plus submission of proof of any academic achievements or be a transfer student with not less than 60 US credit hours with a minimum grade “C” or above in each subject for admission consideration.
- Pass one of the following English proficiency tests. Tests must be completed no more than two years before the first day of the term for which applicants are applying.
- International English Language Testing System (Academic IELTS) with a minimum band score of 5.5 and a writing score of 5.5. To learn more about IELTS exams, visit www.ielts.org.
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a minimum total score of 62 and a writing score of 17. To learn more about TOEFL exams, visit www.ets.org.
- DUOLINGO test with a minimum score of 115 -120. To learn more about Duolingo exams, visit www.englishtest.duolingo.com.
The scholarship covers:
- Full tuition and fees
- AUC housing fees for a double room
- Monthly stipend
