Tomorrow’s Leaders Undergraduate Scholarship Program (TLU)

Through their time at AUC, TLU scholars develop their leadership potential and skills, actively engage in the civic community, and advance as young professionals who are ready to change the world.

1. A four-year leadership development and civic-minded curriculum that aims to enhance students’ awareness and skills in these respective areas in relevance to their communities.
2. A 120-hour four-week public service/volunteer experience before students’ graduation.
3. A 120-hour professional internship in an area related to their majors.
4. A semester in the United States matriculating at a partnering institution and participating in a part-time, semester-long volunteer/community service component in their sophomore/junior year.
5. Support for each scholarship recipients’ self-designed civic service project.
6. Throughout the scholarship experience, participation in regular (e.g., quarterly) Tomorrow’s Leaders events, to include: roundtable discussions led by public and private sector leaders; professional presentations and discussions with current Tomorrow’s Leaders Undergraduate scholarship alumni and other networking events.
7. Participation in a two-direction mentorship program that includes meeting, on a regular (e.g. quarterly) basis, with a public or private sector community leader serving as the recipient’s mentor. Current scholarship recipients should also serve as mentors to incoming recipients.
8. Participation in regular (e.g. quarterly), community-wide volunteer/service events planned by the University throughout the TLU’s academic tenure.

1. Applicants must be citizens of Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Libya, Morocco, Tunisia,  West Bank/Gaza, or Yemen.
2. U.S. citizens and U.S. legal permanent residents are not eligible to apply.
3. Current high school seniors or applicants who graduated from high school in 2026.
   1. Applicants from Iraq, Libya,, West Bank/Gaza, and Yemen who graduated high school in 2025 are also eligible.
   2. Current high school seniors must maintain their high academic achievement and pass their leaving exam.
4. Demonstrate proficiency in written and spoken English, with a minimum Internet-Based TOEFL (iBT) score of 48 and a writing section score of at least 14, or an equivalent score on a similar test—such as IELTS or Duolingo English Test—provided the test result is less than two years old.
5. Ability to travel and start their undergraduate program in August 2026.
6. Strong academic credentials. 
7. Maturity, adaptability, and leadership potential.

The Tomorrow's Leaders Undergraduate program provides the following opportunities and services for the students selected into the program during the term of their undergraduate studies (program) as defined herein:

• Full coverage of all applicable charges for enrollment, tuition, and fees.
• University medical insurance coverage.
• Costs associated with the entry visa and residency permits.
• One laptop for the duration of the program.
• A monthly living allowance for each month when the student is enrolled in classes and/or involved in TLU-related activities
• A yearly book allowance and coverage of supplies for academic purposes
• Full housing coverage in a double room occupancy in university dormitories for non-Egyptians
• Two round-trip tickets to their home country for non-Egyptians
• Leadership training and workshops, including team building, goal setting, time management, work ethics, public relations, networking skills, and other related skills.
• Access to a dedicated Tomorrow’s Leaders Wellbeing Counselor to provide a safe and supportive environment for students to gain self-awareness, explore personal goals, develop strategies for personal growth, and receive overall support.
• Exposure to and engagement in different community development projects and/or internships in their home countries to learn about different forms of intervention and apply such learning back in their respective countries.
• Access to university and TLU program-related academic and career advising, mentoring services, learning services, and tutoring support.
• The TLU program provides opportunities for eligible students to participate in a semester abroad program at select institutions in the United States for the fall or spring semester. 

1. GPA Requirement:  You are required to maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 for the duration of your undergraduate program.
2. Program of Study: You must satisfactorily fulfill the requirements of your chosen degree program and undertake a full-time program of study. You are required to declare a major by the end of your sophomore year, and graduate within the time frame of the awarded scholarship.
3. Extracurricular Activities: You are expected to engage positively and effectively in at least one extracurricular or community service activity each academic semester during your study, allocating the time needed to perform each of the required activities.
4. Program Activities: You are required to actively participate in TLU program meetings, workshops, seminars, retreats, and conferences.
5. Internship: You must complete one approved, substantive internship of at least 120 hours before the approved graduation date.
6. Capstone: You are required to finalize and submit a civic service capstone project during your senior year.
