Year Abroad at The University of Chicago

Onsi Sawiris Study Abroad scholars will be selected based on the students' character and merit, as demonstrated through academic excellence, extracurricular activities and entrepreneurial initiative.

In collaboration with the Sawiris Foundation in Egypt, the Onsi Sawiris Study Abroad scholars will receive a full scholarship: covering tuition, airfare, housing, health insurance and a living stipend.

Eligibility Criteria

• Be a undergraduate student at the Onsi Sawiris School of Business.
• Have a minimum of 30 earned credits with at least a GPA 3.75 in the previous academic years.
• Be an active student involved in extracurricular activities.

To Apply

• Download and fill the application form.
• Get two letters of recommendation from professors who are familiar with your work.
• Get official academic records (official transcripts along with translations if necessary; pertinent examination results).
• Prepare your Curriculum Vitae: basic information about your previous education, including a list of the courses you are taking as you submit your application but for which you have not received a grade yet.
• Submit all application materials to the Office of Student Financial Affairs and Scholarships.
