Year Abroad at The University of Pennsylvania

The Onsi Sawiris School of Business is inviting you to apply for the Sawiris Scholars Exchange Program, which provides full funding for Onsi Sawiris School of Business students to spend one academic year abroad at the University of Pennsylvania.

Made possible through a generous gift from the Sawiris Family, and in partnership with the Sawiris Foundation for Social Development, this scholarship fully covers tuition, airfare, housing, health insurance, and a living stipend for the duration of the exchange.

Eligibility Criteria

• Eligible Year: Current second-year students. The program will take place in a student’s third year.
• Disciplines: Onsi Sawiris School of Business majors.
• GPA: 3.5 or higher.
• Course prerequisites: Successful completion of one semester of statistics and intro microeconomics and macroeconomics. Additional quantitative coursework is recommended.
• English Proficiency: Completion of RHET 1010.

To Apply

• Download and fill the application form.
• Get two letters of recommendation from professors who are familiar with your work.
• Get official academic records (official transcripts along with translations if necessary; pertinent examination results).
• Prepare your Curriculum Vitae: basic information about your previous education, including a list of the courses you are taking as you submit your application but for which you have not received a grade yet.
• Submit all application materials to the Office of Student Financial Affairs and Scholarships.
