Meet the Associates

Zoe Carver
Office of the Marketing Communication and Public Affairs
Originally from Portland, Oregon, Zoe Carver is a recent graduate of George Washington University, where she majored in international affairs and peace studies, minored in French and creative writing with a concentration in conflict resolution and Africa. Carver studied abroad in Morocco and Senegal, where she researched the impacts of the Senegal-Mauritanian crisis on migrant integration into Dakar, culminating in a published research thesis. She was awarded the Elliott School of International Affairs Distinguished Scholar Award in 2025 for her dedication to the field of global politics. Outside of class, Carver was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Sigma Iota Rho, the Eta Society for Global Affairs, Capitol Letters Literary Magazine and GW Model United Nations. She interned in the U.S. Senate, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Girl Scouts of the USA’s Global Policy Office, where she led a group of students to the 69th Commission on the Status of Women. While in Cairo, she’s excited to continue learning Arabic, exploring coffee houses and seeing as much of Egypt as possible!
Olatunji Osho-Williams

A recent graduate of Northwestern University, where he studied journalism, international studies and Spanish. He has published articles on history, exploration, arts and culture through internships at Smithsonian Magazine, the National Geographic Society and Foreign Policy. During his undergraduate career, he served as a video editor and digital managing editor for the Daily Northwestern, as well as president of Northwestern's chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists. His reporting on scholarship displacement was placed as a national finalist and first-place regional winner in the Society of Professional Journalists 2024 Mark of Excellence Awards, which recognizes the best in student journalism nationwide. He is passionate about interviews, cultural history and migration. He plans to report on business and international politics in his career. In his free time, he enjoys reading science fiction and exercising. He looks forward to learning Arabic and exploring Egypt.
