Message from Board of Trustees Chair

Dear AUC Community,

On behalf of the Board of Trustees, I am pleased to share that the Board has voted unanimously to reappoint President Ahmad Dallal to a second five-year term.

This decision reflects our strong confidence in President Dallal’s vision, performance and steadfast commitment to AUC’s mission. Over the course of his first term, the University successfully navigated a period of economic uncertainty, regional conflict and successive currency devaluations. Dr. Dallal provided steady and disciplined leadership that prioritized our students, staff and faculty, while safeguarding the University’s financial stability. Under his leadership, the University not only weathered these pressures but emerged more resilient and better positioned for the future.

At the same time, the University has continued to grow in reputation and reach. The Strategic Priorities Roadmap he developed through thoughtful engagement across campus continues to drive a deliberate, consistent vision to advance AUC across multiple fronts, including three ambitious Campus 2026 projects that will transform AUC’s role as a leading international university. This year, we celebrated a record-high number of student applications — an extraordinary milestone that reflects increasing confidence in the quality of our academic programs, faculty excellence and student experience. Under his leadership, we strengthened academic excellence, expanded global partnerships, enhanced student support and reinforced our service to Egypt, as well as our standing in the region and beyond.

We are confident that the next term under President Dallal’s able leadership will build on this momentum, deepening AUC’s impact in teaching, research and service. Together, we look forward to the next chapter of progress and achievement.
