Nightly Rental Procedures
Reservation Conditions
- Reservations must be made at least one week in advance by filling out the reservation form, securing the needed approvals and sending the form to housing@aucegypt.edu
- Full payment must be paid in advance
- The maximum number of individuals in the apartment is two per bedroom
- Check-in time is 2 pm on the day of arrival and the check-out time is 12 pm on the day of departure
Payment Methods
- Payments made by departments are made through a budget transfer form before the scheduled arrival date
- AUC employees' payments are made by direct deposit to the Commercial International Bank (CIB) AUC branch by following the steps below:
- Rent is paid in CIB using a collection advice form issued by the Housing Office
- The tenant must return the receipt of payment issued by CIB to the Housing Office as proof of payment
Refund
There will be no refunds for cancellations less than two business days before the check-in date.
Monthly Rental Procedures

- The maximum number of individuals in the apartment is two per bedroom
Steps for renting an apartment:
- Both parties, AUC housing and tenants, sign a two-copy contract before the starting date of the contract
- A guarantor is required if the duration of the contract is more than three months
- The deposit and first month’s rent must be paid before the starting date of the contract
- The monthly rent will be paid in advance
- If the duration of the contract is two months or less, then a two-week deposit is required. For contracts of more than two months, a one-month deposit is required
Payment Method
- Payments made by departments are made through a budget transfer form before the scheduled arrival date
- AUC individuals and/or AUC guests' payments are made by a direct payroll deduction from the individuals’ salary or a direct deposit to CIB AUC branch (Collection Advice) by following the steps:
- Both rent and deposit are paid in CIB using a collection advice form issued by the Housing Office
- The tenant must return the receipt of payment issued by CIB to the Housing Office as proof of payment
