Enhanced Feedback
To enhance the quality of feedback provided to academic programs, a feedback mechanism was developed through which academic programs receive the following forms of feedback:
A. Overview Assessment of Program Learning Outcomes Report (Every 6 years)
This report is part of the comprehensive program review process and includes a review of all assessment of the program learning outcomes during the comprehensive program review cycle, including a detailed review of the plans and reports using the Assessment of PLO Plan and Report Rubric. The review rubrics are developed to evaluate all assessment of PLO plans and report elements in terms of both quality and completion. Finally, the report provides recommendations for improvement regarding all components of the assessment plan and reports.
B. Detailed Quality Feedback on New Assessment of PLO Plans (Every 6 years)
The AP-AA Assessment team provides detailed feedback on the new assessment plans of PLO developed by programs that have completed their comprehensive program review that year using the Assessment of PLO Plan and Report Rubric.
The deadline for submitting the new plans is the end of July to provide the assessment team adequate time to review the plans throughout August, ensuring that programs can implement their new Assessment of PLO plans at the start of the Fall semester.
C. Mid-cycle Assessment of PLO Report: Detailed Quality Feedback and Follow-up on Recommendations in Overview Assessment of PLO Report (Every three years)
Throughout the six-year assessment cycle, each program will receive a comprehensive feedback report at the midpoint of its program review cycle (every three years) detailing progress on the implementation of the recommendations related to the quality of its PLO assessment plans and reports.
D. Summarized Quality Feedback (Every year)
All programs are required to submit annual reports on the achievement of their program learning outcomes plans by the beginning of November every year. The assessment team conducts a gap analysis twice annually (in December & March) to review the status of all plans and report submissions for every academic program. Following this review, the assessment team provides summarized quality feedback on reports, including a color-coded evaluation of report components and overall recommendations for improvement.
