Dear AUC Community,

As an institution accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE), AUC periodically undergoes a comprehensive reaffirmation process to demonstrate how we meet the Commission's Standards for Accreditation and to reflect on how we can continue to improve. At the heart of this process is the self-study, a three-year University-wide review led by the AUC MSCHE Steering Committee and its working groups. We invite you to join our upcoming MSCHE Reaffirmation Open Forum to hear the key findings emerging from the self-study and to take part in a conversation about what they mean for the University moving forward.

During the forum, members of the MSCHE Steering Committee will present highlights from the self-study and discuss how these findings reflect the University's strengths and opportunities for improvement. The forum will also be an opportunity to engage directly with the Steering Committee, ask questions, share feedback, and discuss ideas as we move toward the next phase of the reaffirmation process.

The draft Self-Study Report is now available on the accreditation webpage. Please note that this is a working draft. The report will continue to be refined in the lead-up to the Evaluation Team visit, where feedback from the AUC community, the MSCHE Team Chair's Preliminary Visit, and members of the Steering Committee will continue to be considered. Your input at the forum will help shape the final version.

As the next milestone in this process, the Chair of the MSCHE Evaluation Team will conduct a Preliminary Virtual Visit from November 1 to 5, 2026. During the visit, the Chair will meet with representatives of our community to discuss the self-study and prepare for the Evaluation Team visit. More details, including opportunities for members of the community to participate, will be shared in the coming days.

We encourage faculty, staff and students to attend the Open Forum and participate in this important conversation. We would love to see as many of you as possible in person. For those unable to join us on campus, a Zoom link is provided below so you can participate remotely.
