How to Book A Room
Receive your final acceptance letter from the admissions office.
Create your AUC email through this link
Fill in the online housing application
A) Submit a $300 housing deposit* to validate your application. You can submit the payment using any of the following methods of payment:
- Direct Deposit: You can pay the $300 down payment as a direct deposit at the Office of Student Accounting located in the Administration Building, Plaza level, room P035.
- Wire Transfer: You can use a bank transfer to pay the down payment by following the wire transfer instructions here. Please send a copy of the transfer to firstname.lastname@example.org.
- Check (North America): You can pay through a certified check to the New York Office at this address: The American University in Cairo, 420 5th Avenue, 3rd Floor, New York, NY 10018-2729.
B) Fill in the parental release/emergency form.
You will receive your room assignment** within 10 working days from the day you submitted the $300 deposit.
*Please note that students applying for housing without submitting the $300 housing down payment will not receive a room assignment.
**Room Assignments are made based on the date and time of the housing application and payment. Specific room and roommate requests are taken into consideration but are not guaranteed and based upon availability.
