Who can apply to Research Day?

All enrolled AUC students, both undergraduates or graduates, and faculty can apply to showcase their research.

 

Who is eligible for poster submissions?
Eligible individuals include AUC students in any program as well as faculty members. Graduate student poster submissions require an AUC faculty partner on the abstract. Undergraduate student poster submissions are encouraged to have an AUC faculty partner on the abstract.

 

If accepted, who will pay for my poster printing?

The Office of the Provost will cover the expenses of poster printing for students. Once the judges announce the final list of participants, the office will notify them of the requirements and procedures.

 

Can faculty members participate in the poster session?

Yes, faculty members can participate in the posters session and display their posters. However, they can’t be part of the posters competition.

 

Can AUC students participate in the pitch session?

No, the pitch session is a competition for affiliated faculty only.

 

Can a research assistant apply for Research Day?

Yes, they can participate in the poster competition if they are enrolled as an AUC student.

 

Who can attend Research Day?

The event is open to public. There will be representatives from the media, in addition to international and national leaders from academia and government.

 

Who will review the submitted abstracts and make the selection?

After we receive all submissions, the University Research Board (URB) will form a committee composed of AUC faculty from various disciplines to review the abstracts and make selections.
