Class of 2030 Showcases University Enrollment Growth
AUC’s Class of 2030 has arrived, bringing new talent, scholarship and experience to campus, while also marking significant enrollment growth for the University.

Composed of more than 1,400 undergraduate, degree-seeking students, the Class of 2030 represents what President Ahmad Dallal called “our strongest recruitment cycle in the past four years, breaking last year’s application record and strengthening our yield.”
AUC’s admission process has become increasingly competitive. The University’s acceptance rate for this academic year was 41%, marking a more competitive admission rate and a 3% increase in selectivity from the previous year. The yield, which measures the number of enrolled students compared to those who were admitted, is 67%.
The Class of 2030 also includes a significant cohort of international students, hailing from 22 different countries. International student enrollment increased by 15.7% compared to last year’s enrollment cycle, a significant growth rate aligned with the overall admissions rise.
“This was an exceptionally challenging recruitment cycle, marked by record application volumes and increased competition,” said Miral El Deeb, executive director of student recruitment, enrollment and admission. “The strength of the Class of 2030 reflects the hard work of our recruitment and admissions teams and the continued confidence students place in an AUC education.”
Attracting Top Students
As incoming classes grow and admission becomes increasingly competitive, scholarships are an important component of attracting top students to AUC. The University offers several significant scholarship opportunities for students with high merit and need.

AUC’s Excellence Scholarship, which includes some of Egypt’s highest achievers in IB, IG STEM, and thanawyia amma, was awarded to 362 incoming students. Of these, 130 students received 100% tuition coverage.
The University also welcomed more than 100 students receiving full-tuition scholarships this fall through Tomorrow’s Leaders, the Public School Scholarship Fund and donor-funded programs, including the largest Tomorrow’s Leaders cohort to date. In total, 292 first-year students received full-tuition coverage this semester.
“We are thrilled to welcome the incoming class and congratulate students whose strong academic achievements, talent and dedication truly shone through in an exceptionally competitive scholarship cycle,” said Carrie Lynn Johnson, executive director of the Office of Student Financial Affairs and Scholarships. “As they begin this exciting journey, we look forward to the unique perspectives, leadership, and impact they will bring to the AUC community.”
Furthermore, 291 incoming students received the First-Year Achievement Award, which rewards those with solid academic backgrounds. In total, the University provides financial support to approximately 40% of students on campus, ensuring that talented students from diverse backgrounds have access to an AUC education.
With significant markers of growth, AUC’s Class of 2030 reflects the strength and momentum of the University’s enrollment efforts. As the University continues to grow, it remains committed to expanding access and supporting students throughout their AUC experience.
