Teaching Assistants and Graduate Students Professional Development Program (TAGS)

TAGS is a Professional Development Program for TAs and Graduate Students. The program is a collaboration between Center for Learning and Teaching (CLT) and the Office of the Dean of Graduate Studies aiming to provide professional development opportunities for teaching assistants and graduate students. This program includes Teaching Assistant Professional Development (TAPD) mandatory sessions and TAGS optional professional development workshops.

Teaching Assistant Professional Development (TAPD)

The Teaching Assistants Professional Development (TAPD) Program is designed to prepare Teaching Assistants (TAs) for their role and assigned duties at AUC and offer them opportunities for their own professional development. TAGS Academic Growth Track

This track focuses on providing participants interested in pursuing a career in teaching with the necessary knowledge and skills. It includes topics such as effective teaching strategies, learning technologies, creative assessments and active learning.

Spring 2019 Academic Growth Track: “Effective Teaching” sessions (Saturday, March 23, Tuesday, April 9)

TAGS Professional Growth Track:

This track introduces participants to topics and skills that will allow them to adapt to the dynamic job market. The track includes topics such as leadership Skills, conflict resolution, group dynamics and agility in the workspace.
