Real Life Examples of Ethics Violations

Academic integrity is not confined to the classroom or the university setting. The elements that constitute AUC's Code of Academic Ethics also lay the foundation for professional expectations. Below are a selection of examples of violations of integrity and ethics from around the world in both the academic and professional setting. Some of the examples highlight how violations from the university level ended professional careers. In other examples, the violations were committed at the professional level. Further still are examples of violations at other academic institutions. Together these highlight that the expectations that the Code of Academic Ethics puts forth are not unique to AUC but are shared global values.
