Class A violations and sanctions


Class A Violations (Fatal: Suspension, expulsion)   Recommended action
Impersonating another student during an exam or classroom exercise, or allowing a surrogate to take exam or participate in classroom exercise 



Denying any case of plagiarism or cheating in face of conclusive evidence. (Becomes a second offense)

Unauthorized computer search of university records or using university computers to commit any illegal/unethical act

Using computer to bypass computer protection programs to change university’s files with the intent of changing or destroying the University's or an individual’s records or files without consent

Selling/Purchasing term papers to/from others 



1 or (2, 3, and 4)
Threatening, effecting or encouraging bodily, professional or financial harm to any individual who has witnessed or reported integrity violation

Misappropriation by students of AUC financial or other resources

Discovery of any falsified documentation upon which student was accepted into university

Any second Class B offense  1 or (2, 3, and 4)

Recommended action as listed above. (N.B. Numbers between brackets mean that all the actions will be applied)

  1. Permanent Expulsion
  2. Loss of scholarships, financial aid
  3. Suspension 1-2 years
  4. Academic Integrity class required
  5. Referral to authorities outside AUC for prosecution
  6. Restitution, including legal fees
