Application Process and Deadlines
The official application deadline for both the CASA@AUC and CAASIC programs is April 6, 2026. All components, including the ACTFL exam scores, must be submitted by this exact deadline.
Yes. The CASA office only processes the program's internal forms. The official University application is managed directly by the Office of Enrollment, Admissions and Student Service Center.
Upon submitting the internal application via Google Form, you will receive an automated confirmation email. If you do not see the message in your inbox, you will need to check your Spam/Junk folder.
ACTFL Language Proficiency Requirements
Applicants must select and complete all four assessments: Oral Proficiency Interview – Computer (OPIc), Writing Proficiency Test (WPT), Reading Proficiency Test (RPT) and Listening Proficiency Test (LPT). You must test at the Advanced level, with a maximum of one skill allowed at the Intermediate level. Additionally, scores must be no more than three months old at the time of application.
You need to follow these steps:
- Go to www.languagetesting.com.
- From the "Select a test language" dropdown menu, choose Arabic and click "Get Certified."
- Choose the option for students/teachers taking an ACTFL assessment as a requirement for an academic program.
- In the institution search bar, type exactly: The American University in Cairo - Entrance.
- Select the four required tests, schedule them and complete the payment process.
For technical support, contact Language Testing International (LTI) directly at support@languagetesting.com.
Academic Documentation and Medical Examination
Applicants are strictly responsible for submitting their own academic transcripts. You must upload a clear scanned copy of your transcripts (official or unofficial) directly through the application Google Form.
Note: If you are accepted into the program, you may be required to submit the official, verified copies at a later stage.
The Statement of Purpose (Personal Statement) can be written in either Arabic or English, depending entirely on your preference.
The medical examination is simply a general check-up to confirm you are in good health. No specific or complex medical tests are required beyond a standard evaluation. It must be submitted along with your application.
All submitted application documents (including degree certificates, academic transcripts and medical reports) must be in either English or Arabic. If your original documents are issued in any other language, you must submit an official certified translation (into English or Arabic) alongside a copy of the original documents.
Letters of Recommendation
Referees (academic or professional) must prepare 3 full letters of recommendation and email them directly to enrolauc@aucegypt.edu, with casa@aucegypt.edu copied (CC). It is the applicant's sole responsibility to ensure these letters are sent before the deadline.
