CAASIC programs are designed for advanced learners of Arabic from around the world, offering a unique opportunity for advanced students, professionals and specialists of the Arabic language to study the language. CAASIC is overseen by the Department of Arabic Language Instruction (ALI). CAASIC offers some merit scholarships for the full-year CASA@AUC program, and also welcomes qualified learners who can pay tuition on their own.


Programs Offered

CAASIC offers advanced Arabic programs of different lengths. Students select one of the following tracks, each of a different length/number of credit hours.


A twelve-month (32 credit hours) advanced language and culture immersion program.

Program Location

The Center for Advanced Arabic Study in Cairo (CAASIC) at AUC is currently held on the historic Tahrir Square campus of The American University in Cairo. The program is planned to run in person for the coming cohort of June 2022 - May 2023.
