Population and Development
Population challenges and The ICPD agenda for development bring to the table the need for a new vision that is anchored on human rights, informed free choices, and gender empowerment. Such a vision is captured in the centrality and the new definition and approach in pursuing reproductive health equity.
- Earlier work with UNFPA in investigating fertility plateau in a number of Arab countries and their policy implications
- The service of SRC as the secretariat supporting The Forum of Arab Parliamentarians for Population Policies (FAPPD) and its many outputs.
- The partnership with LAS in supporting National Population Councils in Arab region in implementing ICPD program of work
- Serving as UNFPA/ASRO implementing partner for achieving reproductive health equity.
