Informing Social Policies, Actions and Capacity Building to Accelerate Progress on the Transformative Results of Sexual and Reproductive Health
About
The project’s first component is a multiphase project that seeks to promote the adoption of an equitable social policy approach in supporting the achievement of the UNFPA's three transformative results in the Arab region. Starting in 2021, the project spans over three phases. The first phase focused on building the Social Determinants of Health Equity framework for the three transformative goals. The second phase encompassed providing an illustration of contextualizing the main forces underlying the transformative goals and developing the methodological guide for adopting the new social policy. While the third phase focused on promoting the adoption of the methodological guide among UNPA/ASRO Staff, policymakers and program implementers.

The project's second component is a partnership between the SRC, UNFPA/ASRO and the University of Melbourne. It aims to fill the current gap in Arab researchers, practitioners and policymakers’ capacities to define and collect comprehensive, standard and comparable data on VAW, analyze these data, and interpret the findings into policy recommendations for assessing and monitoring VAW in Arab countries.
