Summer and Winter Sessions
Summer Session (June-July)
AUC offers a variety of credit-bearing courses over the summer that are open to both degree-seeking students and visiting international students. Courses are taught in English and generally include foundational subjects that are over-enrolled during the academic year as well as selected topics courses related to the Middle East.
The summer session includes a six-week period and sometimes two accelerated three-week periods. The maximum load for summer enrollment is six credit hours (two courses).
Not all courses are offered during each period; the final summer course schedule is available each April when the advising period opens.
For students interested in taking Arabic over the summer, AUC offers an Arabic Language Intensive Summer (ALIS) program, open to students at all levels. More details on the ALIS program can be checked here.
Winter Session
AUC’s winter session is held during the first three weeks of January. It offers accelerated, credit-bearing experiential courses in a variety of fields that are open to both degree-seeking students and visiting international students. AUC does not offer credit-bearing Arabic language courses during this session. The final winter course schedule is available each November when the advising period opens.
