Behavioral Neuroscience - Minor

Program Overview

AUC’s broad-based liberal arts education allows you to diversify your learning with a minor or two — helping you develop skills complementary to your primary area of study and demonstrating to potential employers that you have range.

Gain a deeper understanding of the link between biology and behavior, and explore the fascinating relationship between the structure and function of the nervous system. With a focus on the biological and psychological elements that affect emotions, behavior, learning and memory, this minor program provides a comprehensive exploration of the topic. You'll have access to a variety of courses that cover everything from genetics and biology to neurological and psychiatric disorders and their treatments. Graduating with a minor in behavioral neuroscience and a degree in psychology, biology, or other majors offers an excellent foundation for admission to graduate or professional programs, mainly for careers involving research, teaching, medicine, consulting and the pharmaceutical industry.
