Tahrir CultureFest Wrap-Up

The first edition of AUC Tahrir CultureFest unfolded over six days of performances, tours around Cairo, and thought-provoking panel discussions. Participants, speakers and exhibitors brought the event to life, coming together to celebrate Downtown Cairo in an unparalleled six-day festival experience.

The week of activities included a wide range of events and engaging programs including:

  • Book bazaar
  • Exhibitions
  • Panel discussions
  • Student-organized events
  • Neighborhood tours
  • Performances

The inaugural event was held at AUC Tahrir Square which is a prime downtown destination for conferences, lectures, seminars, and public events. Its exhibition space has become a platform for established artists to showcase their work, while also serving as a hub for local and international theater and contemporary dance performances. Today, Ewart Memorial Hall and Oriental Hall continue to serve as the prime downtown destination for a range of conferences, lectures, seminars, and public events held by the University.
