Mr. Richard A. Drucker (elected 2017) is a Partner and the General Counsel of Cornell Capital LLC, a $2.2 billion private equity firm with offices in New York and Hong Kong. Before joining Cornell Capital, Mr. Drucker was a Partner of Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP, a member of the Firm’s Corporate Department. He was a resident partner in Davis Polk’s Tokyo office from 1989 to 1993, opened the firm’s Hong Kong office in 1993, and served as head of the firm’s Asia practice until 1998 when he returned to the New York office. He also had an active practice in the Middle East and advised the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency for more than 30 years.
Mr. Drucker serves on several Boards, including the Japan Society, Provident Loan Society of New York (Chairman), World Rehabilitation Fund (Chairman), and Sankaty Head Foundation. He is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He received a B.A. from the University of Vermont and a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law. Before joining Davis Polk in 1978, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable William H. Webster, United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.
