The Cocurricular Transcript (CCT) documents student engagement across a wide range of learning experiences beyond the classroom. To ensure flexibility and accuracy, AUC recognizes two types of co-curricular activities: Automatically Verified Experiences and Self-Reported Experiences.

These activities span various developmental categories such as leadership, research, community engagement, professional development, and more—helping students gain and showcase critical skills aligned with AUC’s mission of holistic education.

Automatically Verified Experiences

These are structured, institutionally tracked activities that are recorded automatically in the Co-Curricular Transcript when a student participates through AUC Connect. No manual input is required from the student.

Participation is tracked in real time, and students earn digital badges by attending designated events, completing reflections or quizzes, and meeting the specific requirements of each program. Once verified, badges and associated competencies are reflected on the CCT.

  • AUC Student Organizations
    Participation in officially recognized student clubs, organization and governance bodies.
  • Athletic Teams
    Participate in university sports teams or fitness program. 
  • First-Year Experience (FYE)
    Engagement in orientation programs and peer mentoring for new students.
  • Career Development (AUC Career Center)
    Participation in internships and study program.
  • Co-Curricular Experiences (Internship Courses) (NEW)
    Structured internships linked to academic courses that include defined learning outcomes and reflection.
  • Life Mentorship Program (LMP) (NEW)
    A structured program promoting personal and leadership development through mentorship.
  • Co-Curricular Pathways (NEW)
    Guided developmental tracks focused on specific themes or competencies, combining workshops, reflections, and assessments.
  • Student Ambassadors Program (NEW)
    Enrich student life by boosting collaboration and leadership skills 

These programs are designed with clear learning outcomes, and student progress is automatically validated through the AUC Connect system.

Self-Reported Experiences

Some co-curricular activities occur outside of AUC-sponsored programs or require additional verification. In these cases, students are encouraged to self-report their involvement using the designated form linked via AUC Connect. These submissions are reviewed and verified by the relevant university office and added to the CCT at the end of each semester.

  • Undergraduate Research
    Engagement in faculty-mentored research projects, participation in research grants or programs such as:
    • EURECA (Excellence in Undergraduate Research, Entrepreneurship, and Creative Achievement)
    • URJE (Undergraduate Research Journal of Egypt)
    • FYRE (First-Year Research Experience)
    • Other approved research opportunities
  • Career Development (External)
    Involvement in professional development activities or internships not organized by the Career Center, such as:
    • External conferences
    • Industry-led training programs
    • Off-campus internships

Students must provide documentation and a brief description of the activity, outlining the skills gained and learning outcomes achieved. Once verified by the appropriate office (e.g., Undergraduate Research or Career Center), the activity will be reflected in the student's Co-Curricular Transcript.

Earning Badges and Competencies

Each verified co-curricular experience can contribute to a student’s digital competency badges on AUC Connect. These badges are tied to specific pathways such as:

When students meet the criteria for a given badge, it is awarded and recorded alongside the corresponding CCT entry. This provides a meaningful way to visualize and communicate growth across multiple areas of development.


How to Participate and Track Your Activities

For Automatically Verified Experiences:
Simply register and participate through AUC Connect. Your activity will be tracked and reflected in your CCT automatically.

For Self-Reported Experiences:
Submit your activity details through the designated AUC Connect form. Make sure to include all required documentation for timely verification.
