Danny Brassell Coming to AUC to Inspire People to Read More

Commonly referred to as “Jim Carrey with a PhD,” Danny Brassell, world-renowned reading ambassador and visiting professor at AUC, is bringing his energetic, interactive and informative talks to campus this Sunday.

The Graduate School of Education, in collaboration with the Department of Rhetoric and Composition, the AUC Main Library, and AUC Press and Bookstores, is organizing a series of talks with Brassell to promote reading among the AUC community. With a mission to spark a love for reading and bring joy back into education, Brassell uses humor and motivational techniques to inspire audiences around the world to improve their literacy aptitudes and attitudes. 

His talks will focus on the magic of reading and encourage students, parents, professors and teachers to make time to pick up a book by providing quality books that are suitable for avid readers with busy schedules. Throughout his presentations, he will share book recommendations and techniques on how to become a better and more consistent reader. 

Brassell is the best-selling author of 15 books, including The Reading Breakthrough and The Reading Makeover. He has spoken to more than 2,500 different audiences worldwide.
