Randa El Bedawy is an associate professor in the Heikal Department of Management in the Onsi Sawiris School of Business and a member of The American University in Cairo Senate. She brings more than 25 years of academic and professional experience. Her academic career is complemented by extensive leadership and administrative experience, including serving as director of the Quality Assurance Office from 2007 to 2010 and acting head of the Management and Marketing Department from 2009 to 2018 at Misr International University. El Bedawy received the INJAZ Egypt award for her dedication to the students in the Young Entrepreneurs Competitions in 2011 and 2016. El Bedawy is a former external examiner for the Executive Master of Public Administration, Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government, Dubai (2018–2019); a member of the National Committee for Organizational Development, Ministry of Planning, Monitoring and Administrative Reform in Egypt (2019–2020); and a former consultant for the Export Incubator Program, Egyptian Exporters Association (2020–2022). El Bedawy was a strategic management expert and consultant for Economic Governance Activity, a USAID-funded project in Egypt (2022–2023), and was a member of the Advisory Committee, Industrial Engineering and Operations Management Society International, Egypt (2023–2025).

El Bedawy is currently an external board member of the Quality Assurance Unit in the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University; a country member of the G100 Leadership and Entrepreneurial Education Wing; a member of the Global Ambassadors of Sustainability, Canada; and a member of the International Panel of Sustainability Experts. El Bedawy is actively engaged in research through international publications, international conference presentations and membership on various editorial boards. El Bedawy's research interests are related to environmental sustainability, higher education, organizational behaviour and entrepreneurship.
