Program Overview
AUC’s broad-based liberal arts education allows you to diversify your learning with a minor or two — helping you develop skills complementary to your primary area of study and demonstrating to potential employers that you have range.
A minor in development studies will introduce you to the various social, political, economic and cultural factors related to the process of development. The approach is interdisciplinary and comparative, with a primary emphasis on development-related issues. The Anthropology and Sociology units of the Department of Sociology, Egyptology and Anthropology provide academic advising for this program on behalf of an interdisciplinary group of faculty.
