Said Toumi

Said Toumi is an assistant professor in the Heikal Department of Management at The American University in Cairo. He recently completed a Doctor of Philosophy in International Business at Laval University. His research lies at the intersection of international business, human resource management and organizational behavior. His primary research interests include cross-cultural management, expatriate adaptation, cultural intelligence and organizational practices in institutionally complex environments. He also conducts research on global supply chain management, with a particular focus on building resilience capabilities among small and medium-sized enterprises operating within global supply chains. His work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at leading international conferences, including the Academy of International Business. Toumi has received several competitive scholarships and awards recognizing academic excellence and research potential. He has taught undergraduate and graduate courses at Laval University, the University of Ottawa and Queen's University in areas including international business strategy, international trade, nonmarket strategy, human resource management and change management. His research and teaching are driven by a commitment to advancing impactful scholarship, fostering student-centered and experiential learning, and contributing to collaborative academic communities through excellence in research, teaching and service.
