Mina Ayad

Brief Biography

Mina Ayad is an associate professor of economics with expertise in econometrics and financial economics, including stock market analysis, portfolio selection and risk modeling. His research combines micro-level data analysis and applied financial economics to examine how shocks and technological change reshape financial markets and firms. Using rigorous econometric methods, Ayad identifies and quantifies their effects on firm strategy, governance, wages, productivity, volatility and performance.

Before joining AUC, Ayad worked as an economist and researcher at Business France (Ministry of Economics) in Paris. He also taught statistics and econometrics at the undergraduate and graduate levels in France. He currently serves as a board member for Beltone subsidiaries and as an economic affiliate at the Economic Research Forum. Ayad has extensive experience working with corporations and institutions, having delivered training programs at CIB and conducted consultancy work with IDOS and GIZ in Germany.

Ayad obtained his undergraduate degree from Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University and received his PhD under co-supervision between the Universities of François Rabelais de Tours and Orléans and defended at François Rabelais de Tours University.
