Martin Moraw is an assistant professor of English and Comparative Literature at The American University in Cairo (AUC). Before coming to AUC, he taught at Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and Boğaziçi University in Istanbul. Moraw specializes in Shakespeare and early modern drama and has additional interests in literary theory. His work has appeared in Renaissance Drama, an edited collection of Thomas Middleton’s The Revenger’s Tragedy, and elsewhere. He is currently completing a book manuscript entitled The Generic Unconscious: Genre, Politics, and Ideology in the Time of Shakespeare.
