Brief Biography

Eleonora Fernandes is an associate professor and the chair of the Department of Arab and Islamic Civilizations at The American University in Cairo. She received her BA (1966) and MA (1976) from The American University in Cairo. She later received her PhD (1980) from Princeton University.
