Ammar Baig is a seasoned higher education leader with more than 25 years of experience in admissions, recruitment and strategic enrollment management across undergraduate and graduate education.

Prior to joining The American University in Cairo, Baig served at HEC Paris, where he led enrollment for the institution's flagship executive degree programs in Doha and Riyadh. In this role, he spearheaded the modernization of admissions Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, advanced the automation of institutional data and reporting processes and supported initiatives aligned with Qatar Foundation's National Vision 2030, enhancing operational efficiency and the overall student experience.

Before joining HEC Paris, Baig managed the admissions and recruitment mandate at VCUarts Qatar, where he provided strategic leadership to grow the school's enrollment for its undergraduate and graduate programs. Prior to his tenure in the Gulf Cooperation Countries (GCC), he was senior manager of admissions at the Yeates School of Graduate Studies at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University), where he led the growth of graduate admissions operations and helped strengthen recruitment and enrollment practices.
