CLT Annual Symposium 2025

How might liberal arts meet the rise of artificial intelligence with curiosity, innovation, integrity and compassion? This year’s annual symposium at the Center for Learning and Teaching invites faculty and students into a shared exploration of what AI means for our disciplines, classrooms and core academic values of liberal arts education. Whether you come with resistance, skepticism, caution, curiosity or enthusiasm, you are welcome in this conversation shaped by reflection, dialogue and the spirit of liberal arts inquiry.
Session Types
Spotlight Sessions and Roundtables: Faculty share experiences and engage in dialogue around current experiences, challenges and questions.
Student/Faculty Co-Design and Panels: Collaborative sessions to imagine and discuss the future together.
Keynotes and Workshops: International speakers offer perspectives and practical approaches.
This gathering is an invitation to pause together and center on the core values of AUC’s liberal arts tradition, not as abstractions, but as living practices that can help us navigate the shifting landscape of AI in higher education.
It is a space to bring our full selves to raise questions, share concerns, surface emergent opportunities and reflect honestly on the challenges ahead. As we do so, we will lean into the strengths that have long guided our community — critical inquiry, ethical reflection and collaborative dialogue.
