Wafaa Wali has been teaching in the Department of Rhetoric and Composition for over 10 years. Previously, she was the director of studies at the Open Society Institute, Soros Language School, in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Wali received an MA in Philosophy from The American University in Cairo in Spring 2017. The title of her MA thesis was “The Divine and the Problem of Violence." As an undergraduate, Wali studied English Literature at Alexandria University. She later received an MA in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from The American University in Cairo. Wali also has a degree in homeopathy from Lakeland School of Homeopathy.
Wali is interested in architecture, design and cinema. She dabbles in all those fields when she is not following her research interests in education and philosophy.
