After doing my research for the ethnicity topic I knew that what defines ethnicity is not really the genes, rather it’s the people’s shared culture and traditions. I felt fascinated when I knew more about people in remote areas all over Egypt, I felt even more proud being an Egyptian knowing how deep and ingrained the Egyptian ethnicity is.

The webinar was really informative and interactive, the speaker has discussed many important points about gender roles, criminalizing harassment, raising awareness, etc. Iraqi women today suffer from insufficient educational opportunities and healthcare and limited access to the labor market, as well as high levels of violence and inequality. The country is currently in a phase of transition. Plans are underway for post-ISIS recovery and reconstruction.
