Q: I am an employee placed between levels 1 to 6; what should I expect as an annual increase?

A: You will receive a flat rate increase of 18%.

   

Q: I am an employee placed between levels 1 to 6; when will I receive the annual increase?

A: You will receive the annual increase in August 2018 payroll. The annual increase is effective July 1, 2018.

  

Q: I am an employee placed between levels 7 to 14/SEB or Internationally Relocated Employees and Cabinet Members; what should I expect in terms of the one-time payment?

A: You will receive a one-time payment in August 2018 payroll. The one-time payment is directly linked to your performance appraisal rating for FY 2018.

 

Q: I am an employee placed between levels 7 to 14/SEB or Internationally Relocated Employees and Cabinet Members; how will you calculate my one-time payment?

Q: I am an employee placed between levels 7 to 14/SEB or internationally relocated employees and Cabinet Members. Why will I receive my one-time payment in August 2018 instead of July 2018?

A: You will receive your one-time payment in August 2018 instead of July 2018 to allow finalizing the performance appraisal process for FY 2018.

 

Q: I am an employee placed between levels 7 to 14/SEB excluding internationally relocated employees and Cabinet Members; does this mean that my salary of June 2018 will remain the same for FY 2019?

A: Yes, with the exception that it will be increased by the monthly minimum legal increase set by the Egyptian Labor Law.

 

Q: What is the value of the monthly minimum legal increase set by the Egyptian Labor Law for this year?

A: It is EGP 151.

 

Q: When will I receive my FY 2019 salary letter?

A: You will receive an email from Human Resources with your FY 2019 Salary letter signed by AVP for Human Resources in the third week of August 2018. The salary letter will also include the amount of one-time payment for employees placed between levels 7 and above.

 

Q: Who will receive the annual increase for FY 2019?

A: All full time regular employees, active during August 2018 payroll, are eligible to receive the annual increase. 

 

Q: Who will not receive the annual increase for FY 2019?

 A: Non full time employees.

 

Q: I am an employee who has been on leave without pay during FY 2018; I am still eligible to receive the increases?

A: Yes. In case you are an employee between levels 1 to 6, you will receive the increase as stated.

In case you are an employee between levels 7 to 14, you will receive the one-time payment based on the performance rating in addition to the proration of months served.

 

Q: I am an employee who is on leave without pay during August 2018 payroll, so how will I receive my entitled one-time payment?

A: Upon your return from your leave without pay during FY 2019 prorated to months served.

 

Q: I am a causal employee; shall I receive any increases?

A: Yes, you will receive the increases as a full time employee according to your job level.

 

Q: I am a grant employee; shall I receive any increases?

A: As long as the grant can secure the required budget, then yes, you will receive increases as a full time employee according to your job level.
