AUC has become the fourth institution in Egypt to participate in the Metropolitan Opera Live in HD program. Inaugurated in 2006 in the hopes of reaching new audiences, the Metropolitan Opera Live in HD transmits broadcasts from numerous operas each season to more than 2,000 theaters in 70 countries around the world. In Egypt, the program has been broadcast to the Technical University of Berlin in El Gouna, Bibliotheca Alexandrina, Cairo Opera House and now, the Malak Gabr Arts Theater at AUC. Access will be through Gate 1 - visitor's gate.

Legendary Egyptian Opera Singer to Speak at Met’s La Traviata this Saturday

One of the first Egyptian opera singers, Soprano Nabila Erian, will be speaking prior to the Met Opera screening of La Traviata this Saturday at the Malak Gabr Arts Theater. The performance will be broadcast live from New York to more than 2,000 theaters in 70 countries. Metropolitan Opera Live in HD Comes to AUC

AUC has become the fourth institution in Egypt to participate in the Metropolitan Opera Live in HD program. On Saturday, December 10 a screening of L’Amour de Loin will take place in AUC’s Malak Gabr Arts Theater, and is open and free to the entire AUC community without prior registration.
