Office of Institutional Equity

The Office of Institutional Equity (OIE) oversees the University’s centralized initiatives for preventing, reporting and responding to concerns related to discrimination and harassment. The American University in Cairo is committed to maintaining a safe learning and working environments that are free from all forms of harassment and discrimination. The University will not tolerate any forms of discrimination and harassment in the workplace or educational environment.

Reporting Measures

If you or someone you know has experienced or witnessed any form of sexual harassment or discrimination, we are here to support you.

1. Reporting

  • Advocate (to report an incident where the respondent is a student)
  • AUC Ethics HelpLine (to report an incident where the respondent is not a student - Ethics Helpline also allows anonymous reporting). For more information about AUC Ethics Helpline, click here.

3. Need to Speak with Someone?
