Rasha Essam is a faculty member at The American University in Cairo, where she works as a computer-aided language-learning director and instructor in the department of Arabic as a foreign language. Her research interests include activity theory in higher education, teaching as a design science, TPACK, blended learning, online learning, multimedia learning, visual learning, computer-supported collaborative learning, social learning, technology affordances, networked learning, inclusive technology enhanced learning, and design based-research.
