Brief Biography

Inas Hafez graduated in June 1983 from AUC with a degree in Business Administration. From 1988 - 2000, she taught children English in the Manor House School, a prestigious school in Dokki, Cairo. In 2000, she enrolled in AUC's graduate program, Teaching Arabic as a Foreign Language (TAFL). She joined the Department of Arabic Language Instruction (ALI) in 2000 - 2001 as a full-time fellow, and after graduating in 2003, she started teaching as a part-time instructor. In 2006, she was appointed as a full-time instructor. She has been with ALI since, and is proud of her role, as she feels that she is helping students to cross the bridge between Egyptian culture and their own.
