Brief Biography

Charles Kaye-Essien is a DAAD scholar who holds a bachelor of science in urban planning from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana, a master of arts in development management from Ruhr University of Bochum, Germany, a master in public administration from the University of the Western Cape, South Africa and a PhD in urban and public affairs from the University of Louisville, USA. His research interests revolve around local government reforms, chaos, and adaptation in public and non-profit organizations, urban service delivery networks, program evaluation, and sustainability management. His 2016 dissertation assessed “the exchange patterns and relations in collaborative governance." He has co-authored a book chapter on urban decline and resurgence with Hank Savitch, a renowned scholar in the field of urban affairs.
