NonScience Majors

AUC offers the following 16 non-science majors:

Accounting & Business Administration
One Accounting course: ACCT 211
One Economics course: ECON 201 or ECON 202
One Mathematics course: MATH 112
In addition, students with no adequate math background are required to take MATH 100.

MATH 100 will be counted towards the liberal arts elective.

Students should apply in their third semester, after completing a minimum of 27 credits.

Students who major in Business Administration are not allowed to have a major or minor in Accounting.

Anthropology
Students should be registered in or have taken
ANTH 202.

Art
The following three courses are required:
ARTV 200, ARTV 201 and then choose from ARTV 211, ARTV 212 or ARTV 310
Students should submit a portfolio of their work.

Economics
An average of "B" in : ECON 201, ECON 202
A minimum grade of “B” in : ECON 216

In addition, students with no adequate math background are required to take MATH 100.
MATH 100 will be counted towards the liberal arts elective.

English & Comparative Literature
Students must have taken at least one ECLT course with a minimum grade of "C"

Journalism & Mass Communication
Students are required to complete 24 credits of university coursework and at least be registered in
RHET 103 at the time of official declaration.

Philosophy
A minimum grade of "B" in PHIL 220
A minimum GPA of 2.4

Political Science
Students must have taken POLS 201 or be registered in it at the time of declaration.

Psychology
Obtain a grade of "B" or higher in PSYC 201 as well as a minimum GPA of 2.5
In addition, students must be registered in MATH 100.

Sociology
Score a "B" in SOC 201

All Other Majors
