Officer, Life Mentorship Program, Office of the Associate Provost for Strategic Enrollment Management (50031437)

Reports to: Senior Project Manager

Purpose: The Life Mentorship Program (LMP) officer is responsible for the execution and development of key projects and activities related to the life mentorship program. The job entails managing and developing the mentoring network platform for AUC students, demonstrating a high level of operational excellence in internal and external communication, professional development, marketing, research analysis and coordination with all stakeholders in different initiatives and programs.

 

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Conduct qualitative research with different internal and external stakeholders. In addition to research best practices to support in the planning phase for the different projects

  • Support in the implementation of the short term and long term action plans for the life mentorship program, while adopting best practices in the formulation of plans and activities to support the implementation

  • Support in outreaching and expanding the pool of mentors, adopt the established criteria in screening potential mentors and selecting high-quality mentors

  • Conduct training needs assessment for mentors on regular basis and designs an ongoing professional development training framework for all mentors

  • Handle the professional development workshops and events for faculty and alumni mentors, that are conducted every semester

  • Manage the coordination and follow up of the faculty and alumni mentoring process including recruiting, selecting and matching and re-matching students with faculty mentors

  • Manage the mentoring network established, including handle cooperation with student leaders for peer mentorship and the alumni office for the alumni mentorship

  • Handle the evaluation and assessment mechanism of both student mentees and mentors, to make sure that the mentoring process is efficient and enriches the mentees personal and academic life

  • Conduct focus group discussions and multiple measures of formal assessment amongst AUC students as part of LMP evaluation

  • Assist in developing and executing a marketing and campus awareness campaign for the life mentorship program amongst AUC students and the network of mentors

  • Manage and monitor social media with different communication channels for all LMP activities and events

  • Help in promoting the LMP by documenting mentees success stories and breakthroughs and recording video testimonials to show success in different communication channels as; News@AUC, student portals, faculty bulletin, and newsletters

  • Support in developing a cost analysis and forecasting reports to set the budget and optimally allocate the financial resources for the LMP implementation, operation, and maintenance

  • Assist in the strategic planning for the program by developing and following up on the KPIs and program outcomes

  • Develop reports and analysis to support students personal and academic journey and promote lifelong learning

  • Support in executing the functions related to the digital mentoring network platform for AUC students

  • Assist in the strategic marketing and communication plan to promote the mentoring network platform

  • Assist in the coordination, implementation, and assessment of student development programs, competitions, and other outreach opportunities consistent with the core objective of enriching the student personal and academic journey

  • Handle the organization and logistics of different PR engagement events and ceremonies of life mentorship program

  • Support in identifying gaps and challenges of students across their journey at AUC and link it to the LMP outcomes

  • Research and explore best practices to optimize the processes of managing and monitoring strategic projects for students

  • Engage in designing and developing flyers and promotional ideas for student projects

  • Coordinate and communicate with program leaders, mentors, different departments and offices at AUC

  • Oversee and supervise the handling of the communication and logistics with external consultants and freelancers working on the LMP

  • Maintain the record keeping system in the office and manage all logistical activities related to the life mentorship program

  • Perform any other related tasks as assigned by the senior manager

 

Requirements:

Minimum Education Requirement: Bachelor degree in marketing and/or in psychology/human development related fields. Master’s degree is an asset

Experience A minimum of seven to nine years of experience in marketing and research, with a background in corporate, educational and human development settings.
