Assistant Lab Supervisor, School of Business (50009884 )

Reports to: Senior Program Specialist

Purpose: Installing, maintaining and troubleshooting the equipment supporting the service delivery at the School of Business Financial Center in order to fulfill the center’s mission of enhancing financial education 

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Provide guidance to students on using the various software, tools, and applications hosted in the center’s trading room efficiently during morning and evening shifts
  • Install and maintain the operating system (software) and hardware of the financial center’s trading room, lounge and offices
  • Identify, troubleshoot and correct hardware, software, and network and security problems
  • Upgrade computers to the latest available versions of the installed software programs and packages
  • Submit proposal to the supervisor to improve the service delivery, as necessary
  • Check classroom equipment to ensure they are in a good working condition before scheduled events
  • Coordinate with the print shop to ensure that training-related material is printed on-time
  • Document the center’s equipment status and technical problems
  • Determine the rules and regulations for safe use of the equipment
  • Handle office supplies inventory and prepare monthly reports
  • Prepare the daily login report that tracks the number of users who use the center’s resources on a daily basis
  • Assist faculty members and instructors by making sure that all devices used in the lectures are working properly to overcome any problems before and during lectures and events
  • Responsible for delivering important documents inside and outside the university such as checks, invoices, mandates as well as contracts
  • Responsible for all administrative related tasks which include: printing, scanning, and archiving
  • Perform any other related tasks as assigned


Minimum Education Requirement: At least a bachelor degree in any related field

Experience: Three years of experience in the technology field

  • Ability to direct others to use the computer effectively
  • Problem-solving skills and multi-tasking
  • Good communication skills
  • Good organization skills
