The Office of the Dean of Undergraduate Studies acts to support and enhance undergraduate education at AUC through administration of the Core Curriculum, the Academic Advising Center, the Community-Based Learning program and undergraduate research, as well as through facilitating the development and implementation of the new Freshman and Bridge programs, alongside world-class Arabic and English language instruction, in the Academy of Liberal Arts. Focusing on undeclared students and working as well in close collaboration with the deans, faculty and staff of the schools, the office seeks to further the quality and coordination of teaching and learning across the curriculum, foster improved practices and standards of registration, enrollment, scheduling and capacity management, as well as advising and mentoring, for all students and programs, and to serve overall as an advocate for undergraduate studies — and, more importantly, undergraduate students — at this University.
