Faculty Research Pitch Competition
The Faculty Research Pitch Competition challenges faculty to communicate their research findings to a non-specialized audience. Participants will compete for cash awards, and finalists will have their research featured on posters and screens around the campus.
Description
- Faculty present their research ideas within three minutes.
- Judges select finalists based on engaging content and delivery, as well as impact communicated.
- The final round is held during the RCC's final event. The audience selects three winners at the closing ceremony.
Eligibility
- All full-time and part-time faculty from all schools at The American University in Cairo (AUC).
Criteria
- Content: Clarify the research purpose, findings, and real-world/regional impact and Identify what problem it solves.
- Delivery: Clear communication to a non-specialized audience, logically organized talk that leaves the audience with a clear understanding, engaging and interesting audible, motivated speakers, engaged audience.
- No PowerPoint slides or props are required.
- The presentation must be delivered within three minutes.
Awards
- A cash prize per winner from each school will be as follows:
- First Prize: EGP 15,000
- Second Prize: EGP 10,000
- Third Prize: EGP 5,000
- Research featured on posters around campus, library screens, and News@AUC
